Take me out to the ballgame, Mike...

We're a week into baseball/softball season, which means this Mike is pumped! I've watched all but one televised Indians game, two Mud Hens games (buying tickets for the season today), and four of my daughter's varsity softball games. I've also been following the Tigers and hoping that their 0-7 losing streak continues, being mortal enemies of the Tribe (and hence, me).

And here in the magical world of the Internet, I've been reading about other Mikes and their fascination with America's game:

• Mike's Baseball for Windows ReplayEncyclopedia: A catalog site presented by Mike Mitchim of Jonesboro, Georgia, who is among many who replay past seasons in baseball through special Windows software.
• Mike's Baseball Books: Bookseller Mike Wikham offers baseball texts and memorablia for sale.
• Mike and Mike's Baseball Picks: Mike Golic hits a grand-slam double with me for predicting Cleveland will top the AL Central, grab the pennant,and finally bag a World Series. Greeny goes with the Tigers for division title, but puts his money on the Mariners as the best in baseball this year.
